A motocross rider may have broken his back after hitting a tree head-on at high speed; at a sawmill, a man faces his worst nightmare; a woman fights for her life.

Chopper Squad

A hang glider pilot may have broken his back after a heavy crash-landing.

As a weather bomb hits, the chopper crew sets out on one of the most challenging missions they have ever undertaken; 20 miles offshore, a man lies face down at Muriwai beach, unable to move, in need of emergency help.

The chopper crewmen have their hands full of five badly injured patients after a car crash near Waiuku; a massive motorcycle pile-up leaves injured bikers all over the road.
